This year Sitting, Waiting for Change has been exhibited at the Newseum this summer. It was great seeing my work in a great museum such as the Newseum. This picture was a finalist in the FotoDc Week Fotobama contest.

Chinese New Year Parade!

Here are a series of pictures of the Chinese New Year Parade on Feb 1, 2009 in China Town in DC. When I got there the festivities where beginning but where shut down do to gas leak somewhere on H and 7th. I managed to get some shots before the police cleared out everybody.

Inauguration 2009 Barrack Obama

It was wonderful attending the Inauguration Ceremonies in Washington DC this year. What an experience! I took some candid shots of peoples' reactions and I could say that the mood was very positive. Even though it was cold and crowded, people made the best of it. The Inauguration 2009 gallery has the inauguration concert and shots near the Washington Monument when Barrack was being sworn in. Hopefully the pictures convey the mood of that week.








***One interesting shot was during the concert where there were a lot of people sitting on the porter potties trying to see. But later they got down because they were obstructing others' view of the concert on the flat screens.

Weddings! :-)

Wedding season will be here! Omegapoint Photography provides high quality wedding photography services on top of other services such as portraiture and event shooting. Christmas Eve Pics at the National Harbor

Nov 15 Weekend

I was in DC near Woodley eating with family at an Indian restaurant. We heard commotion outside the restaurant and we decided to investigate. It turned out that there was a welcoming group for the Chinese president. I had my D300 handy and decided to take some pictures. It was getting dark and this was a good test to see how the D300 fair as far as ISO rating. I took the pictures with iso 2000 and with the on board flash. I found the pictures mostly usable. Also included more pictures for that night.
